You want to get the full culinary experience of being on the road all day? With bike:WATE you can! Today, I will show you how to have breakfast to not get hungry for hours (or days, if you don’t cycle all day).

To start, you’ll need:

- a camping cooker & lighter (or a regular stove / kitchen)

- a pot

- a knife

- a spoon

- oatmeal

- salt

- an apple

- a banana

- water

- pindakaas (peanut butter)

- dry fruits & mixed nuts of choice

First Step:

Mix a cup of oatmeal with dry fruits, nuts and a tablespoon of salt in a pot. Not that I have a cup, or a tablespoon, but hey :)

ree

Second step:

Cut the banana in large pieces and pour in the water (the amount is dependent on the amount of oatmeal). Then start your cooker or stove. It might take a little longer when you use a regular stove, since you‘re able to regulate the heat and don’t directly cook above the flame.

ree

Third step:

When boiling, add a good spoon full of pindakaas and keep stirring until it has completely dissolved. Your porridge might turn brownish and get a little thick, that’s when you know it‘s done.

ree

Fourth step:

Let the pot rest while you cut and add the apple, mix your porridge.

Last step:

Enjoy with a view!
